HealthScans are not available on the NHS.
A HealthScan costs £850. This includes both the scan appointment and also reporting of the images by a consultant radiologist. You will be given a CD with your scan images saved in a digital file. Written reports will be sent to you and your GP or specialist doctor within several days of the scan being performed. You will be given the chance to discuss the scan results with the consultant radiologist either immediately after the scan appointment in person or later by telephone.
The easiest way to pay is by card payment through PayPal using the link below - you do not need a PayPal account to do this. We can also take card payments at the time of your scan appointment. Alternatively we accept direct bank transfers through internet banking. The bank account number is 62806029 sort code 09-01-28 - please ensure that you put your name in the reference box so that we know who the payment has come from. We can also accept cheques - details of how to do this will be given at your initial telephone consultation if this is how you choose to pay.
You will need to check with your private health care insurance provider whether you can recover the costs of the scan on your policy. If they do you will need to pay for the HealthScan and reclaim the costs directly from your insurance company.
No - the HealthScan is a test which provides additional, complementary value over and above the NHS screening programmes which exist for breast cancer and other diseases. We recommend that you continue to attend for any NHS screening services that you are offered.
